Like the title says, Dolphin causes controller latency on DualShock 4 controllers when 2 are connected. When these changes occur, if the Bluetooth adapter can’t keep up with the required data rate then the user may suffer with high input delay or even connection loss. Not only that, DS4Windows also sends data back to the controller related to the rumble, lightbar, triggers (DualSense only) etc. When picked by DS4Windows (or Steam for that matter), a request is sent for them to change into Native PS mode, which increases the volume and the frequency of data being sent. Interperting the BT signal might add input lag that is not shown on DS4Windows, there might be loss of info due to wireless etc (not sure these things actually happen). It doesn't necessarily mean though that BT is better than wired connection. When first connected to Windows, these controllers communicate in PC friendly mode and their data transfer rate is low. DS4Windows reports a 1ms polling rate while using BT, and 4ms while using a cable. Make sure you're near the bluetooth module. I have one that's 6' long and it also helped my DS4 latency. All in all, DS4Windows is an excellent tool which adds full functionality for PS4 controllers on Windows, much like Microsoft has provided for its own Xbox controllers.
